Well we enjoyed a wonderful time over at Fish Lake this week. Left on Monday and stayed until Thursday! It is Doreen's side of the family that gets together ever year and stays in Fish Lake for the week. I when I say every year, I mean EVERY. YEAR. they have been coming every year (did I clarify that) since the 60's. I think that is so neat! Doreen's sister Janet also has binder put together with pictures from EVERY YEAR. It was so neat to look at!
So, I knew that McKell couldn't last a week without getting down and walking around! So we bought her some kicks before we left! She has some shoes and boots and stuff, but they are all still a little to big. When we first put them on, she had no idea what to think. She just stood there and looked at them and would not move a muscle! She just stared and them and eventually started crying! We tried to show her that she could still walk in them and it took a couple tries and she finally got the hang of it! She hates shoes and always has, she just bunches up her toes and them and won't let them out and relaxed! Silly girl!
A family affair: hanging the fishy decorations!
So of course, during a family get together for a week, McKell was teething, poor thing! She did pretty well, but got quite grumpy a couple times, which I don't blame her! They still haven't come in, but are sure working on it pretty hard!
One of the little cousins Nathan had this cute motorcycle that she could ride on and push around! It made the cutest sounds! She loved it!
Another pair of her new kicks.......
Showing her new teeth and new kicks!
Rachie catching a snooze, our "Venus Fly Trap".
We went and checked out the lodge and McKell loved this hat!
Mom liked this hat better, but she would not keep this one on, only the blue one! What a smart girl she is! She knows exactly what she wants! But, opps Mom bought the pink one because she liked it better! : )
My stud muffin out on the lake!
Caleb and Heather, I love these two! We always have a good time!
I had never been perch fishing, and it was so much fun! You just put a worm on the end of your hook and let it down a ways in the water, then you could watch 10 or sometimes 20 perch start to surround it and some would try to take a bite and WAMMO you got em! Heather was super good at it!
Yum.... that is certainly attractive. holy moly.
Such Fun!
Aunt Nancy and Aunt Janet in Karl's boat.
These cute little ducks were always in the Marina! So cute!
Pushing the motorcycle.....
Dad helping her with her first wheelie! Oh my!
Zach taking Clint around for a ride! Isn't that the sweetest ride??
Z is for Zach!
McKell helping Gramps cook the pig! : )
It is such beautiful country there! We used to go there when I was younger, and I don't remember much about it, except taking a boat out on the lake and Suzanne heaving up her lunch, but it is gorgeous!! : )
Such beautiful country!
Camping wears you out! McKell and Grandpa showed us that! : )
The whole family! I am so grateful to be blessed to be in this family and get to know them! I love you all! Thanks for the fun week!
So there a quite a few more adorable pictures of this week, like of McKell taking her naps in the camper, our beautiful 4-wheeler ride and fishing, but they are on Clint's phone so I will have to do another post with those! : )
Oh OH oh!! I forgot!! Notice how McKells's and Mariesa's hair is the same color.....
