Bumps, Brusies, Sick McKell, Ben and Josephine, Prom = Happiness!

These last couple weeks have been busy, emotional, but extremely wonderful! I love my little family and everything they are to me. I can't believe how blessed we are!

More bike time!

Love her faces!

So on Sunday the 9th, after an extremely exhausting, trying, emotional day at work on Saturday, I thought for sure I would be able to relax on Sunday. Wrongo!! After church we were down at Mom and Dad's when McKell was running through the house and tripped, gauging her head into the bottom of the door frame. When it first happened, it looked so so deep! So I called Clint to meet me at the ER and off we went! Mom's comforting words were, "Get used it to!" Thanks Mother! : ) : )

Poor little one was oh so so sad! They decided it just needed to be glued, so they cleaned it up, glued it shut, gave her a tetanus shot and off we went!

Breaks my heart.... : ( I hate to see her in pain!

Love my little one!

More fun on the bike! Love these two!

We have been having such wonderful spring days! I love it! The forecast predicts snow this weekend though....

So on Thursday the 13th, McKell had a 15 month appointment with Dr. Dayton. She had been pulling on her eyes quite a bit, but I didn't worry because we had a doctor's appointment scheduled. The Tuesday before we went to Katherine's softball game and it was terribly cold, but McKell seemed to be fairing quite well. The morning of the appointment, McKell woke up at 5 with a temperature of 102! It was so terrible. So, up we headed to the doctor. While there, she checked her for an ear infection... nothing. Strep? nodda. She did have a red, sore throat, but nothing else. So they gave her immunizations and we were on our way, thinking it would just pass.
That evening while watching the supercross at Caleb's her temp got to 103.4, I took her home to give her a bath and such to help. That was a long night! Her temp ended up reaching 104 a couple times that night! I have never been so scared, because I know how much even a few tenths can make the difference!
The next day you could tell that her throat was so so sore, every time she swallowed, she just grimaced and cried! It was so sad, she would always look at me and her eyes would say, "Why are you not helping me??"! It was so terrible.
This went on for a couple days and her fever finally went down, ended up taking a week to get over. She didn't eat anything for about 4 days, and got oh so skinny. There was no more chubb on those legs : (
She got quite the cough, and then congestion, then snotty nose, so she experienced it all! I am just glad that our bodies are so amazing and can fight!! That was the longest week of my life!

Then it perked up quite a bit!!!  : ) : )

These two marvelous people came to visit during their spring break! I love them oh so so much! It was so fun to have them here for a week! (I wish I would've took more pictures, darn it!) Words cannot even express how much I love Ben, and I can even being to describe how hard it is to have a sibling live so far away, but I know he is doing the right thing and that he is where he needs to be in Lubbock, TX. Who knows maybe someday we will join him! : )

Enjoying the games! Love to watch this girl play! It is all I can do to not run out there on the field with them!

Then, to top off a great week Katherine got to go to Prom! I cannot believe that she is so old! Man, thinking of her this old, I get so emotional! Not a surprise though, eh?

She is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen!

She was so excited about her sparkly vans!! There were super cute!

Mom was all distressed about her unfinished house, but it surely didn't matter! : ) Getting past the awkward moments..... that darn corsage! Josephine finally was the one who are able to get it on!

She had a marvelous date, McKay Sanders, and they had a grand time!

Katherine trying to be as far away as possible  ; ) haha

Awww : ) love this!

A great looking group!

A great moment! It was always my favorite! I love it, Dad is always twirling us around on the dance floor!

McKell enjoying herself! She loved all the sparkles and decorations!

So fun to have them here!

McKell's favorite song came on! : )

Couldn't make it another day without these wonderful people! : )

Oh and we also found a couple friends to bring home when we stopped at Cal-Ranch! Just couldn't pass the up, and McKell loves them!

Yup, this would be the new toy I was referring to! Never seen a happier Dad and a more unsure McKell!

Eating her hot dog out of the best thing we had next to a plate! : ) worked perfectly!

I was telling Clint, "This is what I would envision Hell to look like, just with rivers of lava added!" What a barren land!

Loved peeking at Dad through the roof!

Pretty adorable if I do say so myself!
